Generally
JDesigner makes it possible to use privileges. Privilege is the set of rights to specific pages. The privilege can be linked with the roles. So define which roles have the privilege.
Privileges management option is available on the tool menu as shown below:
Privilege management
If you go into privilege management you can add a new privilege, delete or edit the selected privilege. Additionally you can add accessible pages and supported roles to privilege.
Add privilege
You can add privilege by clicking on "+" which is located on the left side of the dialog window.
When you click on this "+" you will be shown an Add new privilege window. Now you can specify a directory to place privilege, privilege name, code and description. To add new privilege you have to click OK button.
To add new privilege you do not have to enter privilege management. You can do it faster by right-clicking on the directory where you want to add privilege, then from pop-up menu select new->privilege.

Delete privilege
On the left side of the dialog window, you have a list of all privileges. To delete privilege, select privilege and click "-" button. This brings up a dialog box asking if you want to remove the privilege.
To delete the privilege you do not have to enter privilege management. You can do it faster by right-clicking on the privilege, then from pop-up menu select new->privilege.
Edit privilege
To edit the privilege you have to select it from the list of privileges on the left. You can find editing fields on the right side. To save changes click Save button or click Undo button to cancel changes.
Accessible pages
Privilege gives permission to open pages. To add page to the privilege you have to click on the "+" button near to Accessible pages window. To delete page you have to select it from the list and then click "-" button.
Supported roles
In this window you can specify what roles include the privilege. If a role has the privilege, it gets permission to open privileged pages. To add role to the privilege you have to click on the "+" button near Supported roles window. To delete role you have to select role and then click on the "-" button.
